Job summary

Thomson Power Systems, a Regal Rexnord company, seeks a Field Service Technician to perform hands-on service on installed critical power systems. You will startup, test, and commission low- and medium-voltage switchgear and ATS at customer sites, ensuring safe, reliable operation before handoff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in preventive/predictive maintenance on power distribution equipment.
• Experience installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing breakers, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Knowledge of CSA, NFPA, and UL codes and standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage maintenance programs for installed-base customers.
• Perform site assessments, installation, startup, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of power systems.
• Lead commissioning, upgrades, and modernization to specification.
• Troubleshoot paralleling switchgear, ATS, and control systems on site.
• Submit field service reports and expense reports promptly.
• Support Technical Call Desk with diagnostics and guidance.
• Provide training for customers and partners on new products.
• Review engineering drawings for accuracy and constructability.
