Job summary

Thomson Power Systems, a Regal Rexnord company, seeks a Senior Field Service Technician for hands-on service across critical power systems. The role covers start-up, testing, and commissioning of low- and medium-voltage gear at customer sites, with remote work flexibility from approved locations.

You will travel up to 75% as required, manage field projects, and collaborate with TPS HQ in Langley, BC. This position emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience maintaining power distribution and control equipment.
• Experience installing, testing, repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and electrical codes (CSA, NFPA, UL).

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up, testing, and commissioning of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and ATS.
• Perform field service activities: site assessments, installation, start-up, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair paralleling switchgear, ATS, control systems, and mechanical equipment at customer sites.
