Job summary

Thomson Power Systems, a Regal Rexnord company, is seeking a Field Service Technician for field deployment in the Las Vegas area. You will lead start‑ups, testing and commissioning of low/medium‑voltage switchgear and ATS, and perform preventive maintenance on critical power systems.

The role requires hands‑on electrical expertise, strong safety focus, and travel readiness up to 75% to serve on‑site customer installations and upgrades.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience with power distribution and control equipment.
• Experience starting up and commissioning low/medium‑voltage switchgear and ATS.
• Knowledge of health, safety and electrical codes (CSA, NFPA, UL).
• Proficient with PC tools and mobile apps for field tasks.
• Travel up to 75% as required by customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead start‑up, testing, and commissioning of switchgear and ATS at customer sites.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair switchgear, ATS, control systems, and related equipment.
• Prepare field service reports and documentation in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Field Service team and TPS HQ for alignment.
• Provide technical guidance and training support to customers and partners.
