Job summary

Amcor is seeking an onsite Equipment Service Technician to provide efficient service for Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging equipment at protein processor plants. Level II requires mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot most issues, with occasional management support for tougher cases.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, customer communication, preventive maintenance, installation support, and training.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent in electrical or mechanical technology.
• Megatronics training and certification preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in the food packaging industry.
• Willing to travel 75%+ and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety responsibilities in all tasks.
• Diagnose and repair packaging equipment at customer sites.
• Provide preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for Rotary Chamber and related equipment.
• Assist installation and start-up of Amcor packaging equipment.
• Train customers on proper operation and maintenance.
• Document work activities and time utilization promptly.
• Coordinate with sales and AFNA staff for project work.
