Job summary

Ossid LLC in Rocky Mount, NC, is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support customers through the life cycle of packaging machinery. You will assemble, install, and upgrade electro-mechanical equipment, assist with FAT, and travel extensively to customer sites to ensure smooth operation and optimization.

The role emphasizes independent problem solving, reading engineering drawings, and using tools like SolidWorks/AutoCAD to support installation and service activities.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ minimum experience in highly skilled technical support and/or building of an electro-mechanical product/system.
• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, mostly domestic.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have mechanical knowledge of how automation works and the ability to assemble machines.
• Problem solving and independent judgment skills.

Responsibilities

• assembling a machine from the ground up (could be multiple machines)
• assist engineering in startup of the equipment
• work with customers during factory acceptance testing (FAT)
• installation of machines at customers facilities
• upgrades to current machines in the field
• emergency field service
