Job summary

ProMach is seeking a remote Field Service Technician to ensure installation and commissioning of packaging equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, training, and optimizing client processes. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in equipment automation and relevant mechanical skills.

Located in Charlotte, NC, the position combines independent work with travel, supporting clients across the U.S. with a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of experience in equipment and automation, ideally in the packaging industry.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Regular workweek is forty (40) hours; may exceed based on customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment at assigned customer sites.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and carry out repairs.
• Train operators and users at the customer’s site.

Skills

Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical proficiency

General knowledge of PLC

Excellent customer service orientation

Proficient verbal and written communication in English

Education

College diploma in Industrial Electronics Technology

Tools

Microsoft Office

Allen Bradley software (RS Logix 500/5000)
