Job summary

Ossid, based in Rocky Mount, NC, is seeking a talented Field Service Technician to provide technical support and service across the life cycle of OSSID equipment. You will assemble machines, assist startup, participate in FAT, and install upgrades at customer sites to improve efficiency and cost savings.

Role requires 5 years of experience in technical support or electro-mechanical systems, with ability to travel up to 70% (mostly domestic).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of highly skilled technical support or electro-mechanical product builds.
• Willing to travel up to 70% of the time, mostly domestic.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Mechanical knowledge of how automation works and machine assembly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, install and integrate machinery.
• Identify and correct machine discrepancies.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and identify new product opportunities.
• Work from engineering drawings and detailed instructions.
• Prepare trip reports and update status of installed equipment.
