Job summary

Smart Resources Group in Colorado is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial packaging equipment at customer sites. You will perform mechanical (75%) and electrical (25%) diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and startup support as needed.

Responsibilities include diagnosing motors, gearboxes, sensors, and related components, ensuring safety via LOTO, and documenting service records and parts used. Travel required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, field service, or equipment repair.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery, automated equipment, or packaging equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic diagrams.
• Experience using multimeters and AC/DC voltage testing equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, sensors, and controls.
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience with motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, and related equipment.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and industrial safety practices.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel to customer locations, including occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial packaging equipment and automated machinery.
• Diagnose electrical and control issues using AC/DC testing equipment and ladder diagrams.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace motors, gearboxes, sensors, and related equipment components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Occasionally assist with equipment installations and startup support.
• Source and order replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain service records, work orders, and parts documentation.
• Travel to customer sites to perform service and repair work.
