Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. The role emphasizes hands-on electrical and mechanical aptitude, strong customer communication, and independent work at customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Experience diagnosing faults at customer sites.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and assembly drawings.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for field assignments.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues with tools and documentation.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Establish and execute preventive maintenance programs for assigned accounts.
• Document service actions, report issues, and maintain accurate records.
• Support senior technicians on complex field service jobs and escalations.
• Travel to customer sites and coordinate field service activities.
