Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. You will ensure equipment uptime, support customer production needs, and represent IPG with professionalism in the field.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires on-site maintenance and repair experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using tools.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Schedule and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Follow field service procedures, issue RMAs, and complete work orders.
• Travel frequently, including overnight stays, up to 30% of weeks.
