Job summary

Acuative is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network and technology infrastructure at customer locations. The role involves hands-on cabling, testing, and coordination with remote resources, with a preference for IT field service or networking experience.

The position offers full-time employment with a company vehicle, gas card, inventory access, and paid training. Overnight travel may be required and overtime may apply in some cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA networking, Cisco, Cabling, BICSII, Satellite, PBX or VoIP certifications are a plus.
• Strong technical background with willingness to learn and adapt to field roles.
• Experience with structured cabling and network hardware is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, rack, and provide Smart Hands support for routers, switches, and related hardware.
• Perform physical installation and cabling across multiple platforms including structured cabling and fixed wireless.
• Coordinate with remote engineers, NOCs, and customer teams to complete installations and resolve issues.
• Document circuits, demarcation points, ports, and equipment; collect test results and completion forms.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and safety equipment; lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders as needed.
