Job summary

Acuative is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician in Lubbock, TX to install and maintain network and technology infrastructure at customer locations. The role involves hands-on installation, testing, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, WAPs, and related hardware, often coordinated with remote engineers and NOCs.

Ideal candidates have IT experience or an associate degree, strong technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent IT experience is required or preferred.
• Certifications in networking or cabling are a plus.
• Strong technical foundation with willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, rack, and provide Smart Hands support for routers, switches, WAPs, firewalls, and other network hardware.
• Perform site surveys and install cabling, testing, and troubleshooting at customer locations.
• Coordinate with remote NOCs, engineers, and customer teams to complete installations and resolve issues.
• Document circuits, equipment, and test results; maintain accurate field records in Excel forms.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment; travel as needed; lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
