Job summary

Acuative is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide Smart Hands support for network and technology infrastructure at customer locations.

The role includes a company vehicle, gas card, training, and opportunities for overtime. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to customer sites, with occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA networking, Cisco, Cabling, or VoIP certifications are a plus.
• Selected candidates will attend a hardware and cabling training course at the Global Technology Center in Strongsville, OH.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, rack, stack, mount, and provide Smart Hands support for routers, switches, wireless APs, firewalls, gateways, SD-WAN, servers, and other hardware.
• Perform site surveys and cabling work including structured cabling and low‑voltage installations.
• Troubleshoot copper cabling and connectivity using test equipment and document circuit details.
• Coordinate with remote engineers, NOCs, project teams, and customer resources.
• Maintain company vehicle, inventory, tools, and safety equipment.
