Job summary

Acuative seeks a dependable Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure at customer locations. You will work with remote NOCs and customer teams, performing hands-on cabling, equipment installation, and testing across diverse hardware platforms.

The role offers paid training, a company vehicle, and gas card with opportunities for overtime. Valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA networking, Cisco, Cabling, BICSII, Satellite, PBX or VoIP system certifications a plus!
• Selected candidates will be required to attend a hardware and cabling training course at our Global Technology Center in Strongsville, OH.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, rack, stack, mount, and provide Smart Hands support for routers, switches, WAPs, firewalls, cellular gateways, SD-WAN equipment, servers, circuits, telephony and other network-based hardware.
• Perform physical installation and replacement of equipment from various manufacturers and platforms, including circuit extensions, structured cabling, fixed wireless, and LEO satellite solutions.
• Perform equipment cutovers and migrations with remote engineers, NOCs, project teams, and customer resources.
• Locate, identify, label, and document circuits, demarcation points, network equipment, ports, cabling, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot copper cabling and connectivity with test equipment; perform circuit extensions and other low-voltage work.
• Conduct site surveys and audits to document existing infrastructure, equipment, cabling, power, and installation needs.
• Install LEO satellite and fixed wireless equipment; outdoor mounting and cable routing.
• Carry and position tools, equipment, ladders, and installation components.
• Complete all required deliverables: photos, ticket notes, serial numbers, Excel surveys, sign-offs, and forms.
• Maintain company vehicle, inventory, tools, and safety equipment.
• Work at heights up to 30 feet or more.
