Job summary

Acuative, the nation's leading independent provider of telecommunications field services, seeks a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide Smart Hands support for network and technology infrastructure at customer sites in the Tacoma area.

The role involves installing and testing routers, switches, wireless devices, and related hardware; coordinating with remote NOCs and engineers; and upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in networking hardware and topologies.
• Experience with IT field services, telecommunications, or structured cabling preferred.
• Willingness to learn and handle hands-on field work.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, rack, mount, and provide Smart Hands support for network hardware.
• Perform physical installation and testing of equipment across multiple platforms.
• Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity using test equipment and site surveys.
• Document infrastructure, circuits, ports, and wiring accurately.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and safety equipment; travel as required.
