Job summary

ENGEL North America is seeking a Service Technician to install and service injection molding equipment at customer sites across North America. You will train customers, perform diagnostics, and ensure safe operation of complex machinery.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, plus the ability to troubleshoot systematically and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams. Travel to sites and occasional weekend work are involved.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs injection molding machines and robots, including tests and calibrations.
• Performs safety checks on equipment.
• Educates customers on equipment operation.
• Manages resolution of customer issues and ordering/replacement of parts.
• Instructs other Service Technicians and/or customer operators on maintenance and safe operations.
• Communicates with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center for problem resolution.
• Provides written reports to the Service Manager.
