Job summary

ENGEL is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service injection molding equipment at customer sites in Southern California. You will train customers and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal machine performance.

The role requires deep knowledge of injection molding, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal back-office support. Travel is occasional and support for customers is a key focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in Injection Molding troubleshooting or processing.
• Experience as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs injection molding machines and robots.
• Performs safety checks on equipment.
• Educates customers on proper operation.
• Manages resolution of customer issues and parts replacements as necessary.
• Orders replacement parts and diagnoses control-system problems.
• Instructs others on maintenance and safe operation.
• Communicates with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center regularly.
• Provides written reports to the Service Manager.
