Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Field Service professional to diagnose and repair Canon products across basic mechanical, software, and network failures.

The role involves on-site and shop maintenance, travel, and adherence to customer policies, with a 24/7 shift structure and potential security clearances. Expected to lift up to 50 pounds, complete the PDIF onboarding, and operate in a dynamic environment requiring reliability and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record).
• Capability to work in a 24/7 environment, while performing shift work and on-call rotations.
• Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers’ premises.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups, including basic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and maintain Canon property.
• Provide the solutions of escalated technical and/or customer service-related problem areas for any territory requested.
