Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Field Service professional to diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures and to service Canon equipment to established standards.

You will maintain product knowledge across groups and handle on-site maintenance, including on-call rotations, while ensuring accurate reporting and proper handling of Canon property. The role requires travel, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to operate in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new-hire class.
• The ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
• The capability to work in a 24/7 environment, while performing shift work and on-call rotations.
• Required to take all necessary steps to obtain security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter the customers’ premises.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information and Canon property assigned and provide direction to less experienced technicians.
• Provide solutions to escalated technical and/or customer service-related problems for any territory requested.
