Job summary

Canon USA, an innovator of technology, solutions, and services, seeks a customer-facing Field Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair Canon equipment. This on-site, full-time role requires travel to customer sites and handling Field Service Reports and essential documentation.

You will maintain knowledge across product groups, meet customer demands with responsive maintenance, and uphold Canon policies, including potential COVID-19 measures. Competitive hourly pay applies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; 1-2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments; able to complete the 120-day PDIF new-hire class.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel.
• Must be able to obtain required security/clearances to enter customer premises.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with efficient, responsive on-site maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide escalation solutions for technical and customer-service issues.
