Job summary

Smiths Detection in the Atlanta area is seeking a Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot, install, repair, and service Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites.

This role requires 1-3 years field experience, an associate degree or related trade certification, strong communication and travel readiness, and the ability to work independently while upholding safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree/Trade Certification in electrical, electronic or mechanical field.
• 1–3 years field service experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic systems.
• Excellent communications skills and a strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, services, installs and repairs Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites.
• Maintains field service logs and submits paperwork promptly.
• Drives customer satisfaction and participates in service sales opportunities.
