Job summary

Smiths Detection, a unit of Smiths Group, seeks a field service technician to travel daily to locations in and around the Denver Metro area, including the Denver airport. You will troubleshoot, install, service, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites and maintain service documentation.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or related trade certification (electrical/electronic/mechanical) with 1–3 years’ field experience, strong communication,

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree/Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training; equivalent experience 1–3 years in a related field service role.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong orientation toward customer focus and teamwork.
• Willing and able to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, services, installs and repairs Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites.
• Maintains field service log and documents inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Responds to emergency and non-scheduled service calls within established response times.
• Provides customer training as required and ensures customer satisfaction.
