Job summary
Zund America, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Zünd digital cutting systems at customer sites across North America, with occasional international travel.
You will provide remote support and complete accurate service reports. Ideal candidates have technical schooling or equivalent experience, strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic skills, and are willing to travel up to 80% including overnight trips.
Qualifications
- Technical school education or 1 year of field service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Zünd equipment at customer locations.
- Provide timely telephone and remote technical support.
- Prepare service reports, warranty documentation, and expense reports accurately.
- Document service activity and machine data in Salesforce CRM
- Escalate complex issues to internal support resources when needed
- Train customers on proper use of equipment and software, on-site and remotely
- Support trade shows, demonstrations, and weekend travel when required
