Job summary

Zund America, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Zünd digital cutting systems at customer sites across North America.

This role also provides remote support and requires strong technical aptitude, customer service focus, and the ability to work independently with guidance. Willingness for overnight travel up to 80% and proficient CRM usage, especially Salesforce, are important.

Qualifications

• Technical school education or equivalent is preferred, not required.
• One year of field service experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities are expected.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under guidance and deliver great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Zünd digital cutting systems at customer sites across North America with minimal supervision.
• Provide timely telephone and remote technical support.
• Prepare service reports, warranty documentation, expense reports, and related administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
• Document service activity and machine data in Salesforce CRM.
• Follow up on open service issues to ensure full resolution and proper documentation.
• Escalate complex issues to internal support resources quickly and effectively.
• Inspect returned parts and process warranty claims and related documentation.
• Train customers on proper use of equipment and software, on-site and remotely.
• Support trade shows, open houses, and demonstrations, including occasional weekend travel.
