Job summary

Zund America, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician I to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Zünd digital cutting systems at customer sites across North America.

The role requires professionalism, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service. The position offers hands-on technical challenges, on-site and remote support, and opportunities to grow with a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Technical school or equivalent training in mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Zünd systems at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Provide timely telephone and remote technical support.
• Prepare service reports, warranty documents, and expense reports accurately.
• Document service activity in Salesforce CRM.
• Follow up on open service issues to ensure resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to internal support.
• Inspect returned parts and evaluate warranty claims.
• Learn Zünd software and digital cutting system operations.
• Train customers on equipment and software on-site or remotely.
• Support trade shows and demonstrations, including some weekend travel.
