Job summary

Zund America, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install, troubleshoot, and maintain Zünd digital cutting systems at customer sites across North America.

The role includes remote support, service reporting, and data entry in Salesforce, with significant travel as required. Ideal candidates have technical schooling or related experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Technical school education preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under guidance and learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Zünd digital cutting systems at customer sites.
• Provide timely telephone and remote technical support.
• Prepare service reports, warranty documentation, and related tasks accurately.
• Document service activity and machine data in Salesforce CRM.
• Escalate complex issues to internal resources when needed.
• Train customers on equipment and software, on-site and remotely.
