Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Georgia is seeking a skilled Rental Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair rental equipment in the field. You will service diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and operate heavy equipment with the appropriate licenses.

You must supply your own tools and maintain safety and quality standards. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, urgency, and a customer‑focused approach. Overtime may be required; a CDL may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of complex hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow manuals.
• Read, interpret schematics and manuals; work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and locate mechanical deficiencies on Heavy Equipment.
• Source and order parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment properly.
• Repair or replace diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission systems.
• Weld and braze; fabricate and modify parts and structures.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and on time.
