Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co., Georgia's authorized Caterpillar dealer since 1914, is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician - Mechanic to diagnose and repair customer and rental equipment in the field.

You must furnish your own tools, operate heavy equipment, and complete work orders with accuracy and timeliness. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant field service experience.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; pass required screenings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment in the field.
• Source and order parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to assess malfunctions.
• Perform welding and brazing, and repair hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and timely.
• Operate equipment and maintain safety standards; overtime may be required.
