Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Georgia seeks a Rental Shop Technician to diagnose and repair a range of rental and customer equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and perform repairs, while maintaining documentation and safety standards. A high school diploma is preferred; welding and diagnostic skills are highly valued in a fast-paced, customer-focused shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, computer and mechanical systems, welding, and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment and diesel engines.
• Repair and/or replace components of frame assemblies, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, and braking.
• Determine extent of repairs and prepare service orders.
• Tune up engines and diagnose computer controls and A/C components with diagnostic equipment.
• Perform welding, brazing, and fabricate parts and attachments.
• Complete all documentation (work orders, parts orders, inspections, warranty support, time sheets) accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and time/quality standards.
• Participate in safety programs and assist management as needed.
