Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician - Mechanic in Georgia to diagnose and repair rental equipment in the field.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and must furnish your own tools. Duties include parts sourcing, welding, and completing service orders with precision. Applicants should have a strong mechanical aptitude, a sense of urgency, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in field service or mechanics.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL if required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical information and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on heavy equipment.
• Source and order parts as needed and use diagnostic equipment.
• Repair components of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and subsystems.
• Perform welding, fabricate parts, and complete work orders with accuracy.
• Maintain records, inspections, and DOT-related paperwork.
