Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair heavy equipment on customer sites. You will perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, and must furnish your own tools.

Candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment and meet DOT-like vehicle standards. Requirements include a minimum of five years of relevant experience, strong troubleshooting skills, hydraulics/electrical knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; trade school coursework in mechanics or hydraulics is desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in field service or repair work.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems is required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and maintain safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose heavy equipment in the field and determine repairs.
• Source and order replacement parts as needed and document work orders.
• Perform diesel engine, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC system repairs.
• Weld and fabricate parts; fabricate attachments as required.
• Maintain safety standards and complete warranties and time sheets accurately.
• Operate and assist in maintaining company vehicles in a safe, clean condition.
