Job summary

Eaton's Engineering Service & Systems Division seeks an Early Career Field Service Technician in Urbandale, IA. Recent technical graduates join a structured program to gain hands-on experience in installation, testing, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical power distribution equipment.

Participants receive coaching, mentorship, and classroom/virtual/on-the-job training, with a clear path for future technical growth within Eaton; salary ranges from $70,000 to $85,000

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field, or expect completion within 6 months.
• Minimum GPA 2.80 or higher.
• No immigration sponsorship; must have valid driver's license with acceptable record.
• Willingness to travel and work varied hours, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, startup, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical power distribution equipment.
• Support customers on-site and remotely; learn via structured training program.
• Operate electrical testing and diagnostic equipment; complete hands-on projects.
• Collaborate with field service team to meet project deadlines.
