Job summary

Eaton’s Engineering Service & Systems Division is seeking an Early Career Field Service Technician to join our team. The program is designed for recent technical school graduates who want a hands-on career in the electrical power industry, supporting customers with installation, testing, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power distribution equipment.

Participants will learn to use testing equipment, receive coaching, and complete a structured training program including

Qualifications

Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related technical field from an accredited institution (or expected completion within 6 months).
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher.
Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Eaton will not sponsor immigration or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B etc.

Responsibilities

Install, test, startup, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power distribution equipment at customer sites.
Learn to safely use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment while supporting service projects.
Work on-site and remotely with customers, under mentorship, as part of a structured training program.
Receive coaching and mentorship to build technical knowledge and advance within Eaton.
Participate in the EESS training program combining classroom, virtual, hands-on, and on‑the‑job experiences.
