Job summary

REMPREX, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service automated gate systems at intermodal terminals across the Chicagoland area, primarily southern Chicagoland and Joliet, IL.

You’ll work on-site, use diagnostics and testing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and report any exceptions to automated processes. You’ll apply electronics, electrical circuits, mechanics and programming knowledge to drive uptime, perform audits, and communicate with clients

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a field service environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of AC, DC and low voltage power.
• Basic networking knowledge (ping, DHCP, IP addresses).

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and document equipment and other products; replace defective units.
• Identify operational and technical issues with clients, and communicate downtime as needed.
• Prepare work orders and tickets; audit service vehicle and safety gear.
• Safely operate a service vehicle to site locations.
• Provide top‑notch customer service to REMPREX clients.
