Job summary

REMPREX in Elwood, IL seeks a Gate Service Representative to support intermodal gate transactions and AGS maintenance. You will perform repairs, data entry, and client-facing technical insights to ensure safe and efficient terminal operations.

The role is on-site, with a day shift of four 10-hour shifts per week (Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 am–5:30 pm). Prior intermodal experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and professional conduct.
• Basic computer and networking hardware knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain Automated Gating System (AGS) equipment.
• Survey, repair, and troubleshoot overall system health and performance.
• Report on system specifications, operations, and inventory needs.
• Explain health information and provide technical insight on repairs to client management.
• Assist in testing and reliability reports for AGS components.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of AGS equipment on site.
• Process gate transactions accurately using office computers or handheld devices.
• Maintain client work environment in REMPREX vehicles and facilities.
