Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and train customers on Mazak CNC Lathes and Machining Centers across the St. Louis region.

You will travel from home to customer facilities, perform installations, calibrations, and warranty/after-warranty service with a focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues, testing machine operation, preparing installation and service reports, and providing

Competenze

• 5 years experience in CNC maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Understand PLCs and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.

Mansioni

• Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines after installation or repair and provide training to customers.

Mazak Corporation is currently searching for a candidate who will install equipment, train customers, execute warranty repairs and provide after warranty service on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. Field Service Technicians are assigned Regional responsibilities and operate directly from their residences. This position reports to the Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, IL. Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities, located primarily in the St. Louis, MO area. Travel is required.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but not limited to the following:

• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
• Train customers on functions of the machines
• Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available
• Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed
• Travel is required. Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.

Education/Certification:

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly

Skills:

• 5 years experience in CNC maintenance and repair
• Read/understand engineering drawings
• Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks
• Ability to understand PLC
• HYD/Pneumatic circuits
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.
• Heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basis
• Ability to problem solve depending on situation.
• Sound writing and reporting skills.

Pay range for this position is $30-$45 per hour
