A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and provide training on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. The role requires 5 years of experience in CNC maintenance and includes responsibilities such as installing machines, diagnosing issues, and training customers. Overnight travel is expected as the technician will work from home and service various clients primarily in the Schaumburg, IL area. A technical background and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in CNC maintenance and repair.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
• Ability to complete reports documenting repairs completed and parts installed.

Description du poste

Mazak Corporation is currently searching for a candidate who will install equipment, train customers, execute warranty repairs and provide after warranty service on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. Field Service Technicians are assigned Regional responsibilities and operate directly from their residences. This position reports to the Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, IL. Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities, located primarily in the Schaumburg, IL area. Travel is required.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but not limited to the following:

• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
• Train customers on functions of the machines
• Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available
• Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed
• Travel is required. Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.

Education/Certification:

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly

Skills:

• 5 years experience in CNC maintenance and repair
• Read/understand engineering drawings
• Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks
• Ability to understand PLC
• HYD/Pneumatic circuits
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.

Pay range for this position is $25-$45 per hourन्त्रण
