Job summary

Matrix Packaging Machinery, a ProMach company, is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support installation, servicing, and training of packaging machinery across the US and internationally. The role requires extensive travel and on-site problem-solving to meet specifications and ensure customer satisfaction.

The candidate will troubleshoot, program machine controls, and provide on-site or remote support, with a focus on high-quality service and collaboration with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Must understand mechanical and electrical principles.
• Experience or familiarity with PLC programming preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met.
• Directs and/or oversees customer’s personnel during installations and servicing.
• May customize machine programs on-site to meet customer needs.
• Occasionally maintain 24-hour on-call status and provide technical telephone support.
• Provide factory floor support when not on customer field service travel.
• Provide customer training on operation and service of machinery.
• Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs in the field.
