Job summary

Matrix Packaging Machinery, part of ProMach, is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot packaging machinery across the US. You’ll lead on-site commissioning, adjust control programs, and train customer personnel to operate and maintain systems.

The role requires extensive travel (roughly 75%), strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, PLC/PC familiarity, and excellent communication to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical principles and electrical concepts.
• Willingness to travel and service machinery in field deployments.
• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office.
• Experience with flexible packaging machinery is a plus.
• PLC programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspection, testing, quality and operating specs are met.
• Direct and oversee customer personnel during installations and servicing.
• Provide on-site customization of machine programs as needed.
• Occasionally maintain 24-hour on-call status for support.
• Offer factory-floor support when not field servicing.
• Train customers on operation and service of machinery.
