Job summary

Smiths Detection in Denver, CO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites. Daily travel to locations around the Denver metro area is required.

The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, timely maintenance, and clear documentation. Associate's degree or related certification and 1–3 years of field service experience in electrical/electronic systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree/Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or Military Training.
• Minimum of 1–3 years experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, services, installs (deploys) and repairs Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites.
• Maintains field service log and filing system to organize and maintain all field service and job files.
• Responds to emergency and non-scheduled calls within established response times.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of parts and tools; orders, installs, and returns parts.
• Ensures currency on technical certifications and proper calibration of tools.
