Job summary

Smiths Detection, part of Smiths Group, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair and maintain security equipment at customer sites in the Dallas Fort Worth area. You will train customers, document work, and support service sales initiatives.

Expect travel, lifting up to 80 lbs, and adherence to safety standards in diverse environments. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in electrical/electronic field service, with an associate degree or equivalent training and strong communication

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree/Trade Certification in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields.
• Military training in electrical, mechanical, or electronics is acceptable.
• 1–3 years experience troubleshooting and field repair of electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction.
• Install, repair and maintain equipment in the field and provide customer training.
• Document inspections, maintenance and repairs; manage parts cycle time.
• Assist with service sales opportunities and revenue programs.
