Job summary

Smiths Detection is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel daily within the Denver metro area to install, troubleshoot, service, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites. You will maintain logs, train customers as needed, and ensure timely completion of service calls while upholding safety and quality standards.

Requires Associate's Degree or related trade certification and 1–3 years of field service experience with strong communications and

• Must be willing and able to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, services, installs (deploys) and repairs Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites.
• Maintains field service log and filing system; initiates and organizes all field service and job files until work is completed.
• Conducts follow-up calls with customers to ensure satisfaction of work.
• Orders, installs, and returns parts; manages repair parts cycle time; maintains inventory of parts and tools.
• Maintains currency on all technical certifications and documents inspections, maintenance and repair work.
