Job summary

Graybar seeks a Service Representative Off-Site to be the primary liaison for customers, coordinating orders, pricing, and service requests to ensure total satisfaction.

This role involves frequent travel, deployments to client sites nationwide, and inventory management in 40-foot Conex boxes. Office hours apply when not deployed, with potential long weeks and overtime during deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 year experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Required counter sales skills/customer service skills and warehouse material handler skills.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to travel and be gone for extended periods to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services to meet customer needs and suggest selections that meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate prompt handling of customer service requests including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, and order maintenance.
• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory maintenance; monitor stock levels and balance of merchandise.
• May perform delivery driver duties; operate a light vehicle to deliver customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Update knowledge of products through self-study and training classes.
• Train new or less experienced representatives.
