Job summary

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. is seeking a capable supervisor for the service department. The role focuses on supervising staff, responding to customer repair inquiries, and coordinating field and shop repairs.

You will work with technicians to determine repair needs and schedules, leveraging company literature and pricing resources to ensure accurate work orders and efficient service. Strong communication, planning, andWindows-based computer proficiency are essential, as is proven leadership

Qualifications

• Five years of hands on supervisory experience within a field environment demonstrating increased responsibility and knowledge of Caterpillar product lines.
• Proven ability to direct and schedule staff to maximize productivity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying instructions.
• Proficient in Windows-based computer applications to improve department efficiency.
• Ability to develop and manage relationships with customers, employees and departments within Cleveland Brothers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the personnel of the department.
• Receive and respond to customer requests or inquiries on equipment repairs.
• Assist in determination of needed repairs and timing of repairs.
• Assign and schedule equipment and personnel to shop repairs.
• Discuss complex repair diagnoses with Technical Communicators or other personnel as needed.
• Utilize mainframe, PC, and literature sources to find information on invoices, work orders, parts availability, and repair procedures.
• Devise work schedules for repairs in the field considering parts availability and delivery schedules.
• Examine work orders and related documents for accuracy; draft budget recommendations.
