Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services, Inc. is seeking a senior field technician responsible for leading compressor package operation, gas processes, and rental equipment.

You will mentor technicians, backfill for Area Manager as needed, and ensure mechanical availability above 98% through strong diagnostics and repairs. The role requires deep knowledge of gas processing, electrical troubleshooting, and experience with Waukesha, Ariel, and Caterpillar compressors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• SSE program completion plus 3 years as an intermediate Field Technician.
• Deep knowledge of gas processes and compressor mechanics.
• 5+ years compression process and equipment experience.
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of compressor packages and systems.
• Understanding of Area Financials and business processes.
• Mentorship and early leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and performs activities per Kodiak procedures.
• Act as informal mentor and leader in the area.
• Participate in all HSE activities and uphold safety leadership.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
• Maintain customer relationships and communicate with Area Manager.
