Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services seeks a fully proficient senior Field Technician to lead one or more compressor packages and gas processes, with responsibility for operation and maintenance. Provides feedback for location policies and budgets while mentoring peers.

Requires a high school diploma, 5+ years in compression or related field, and deep knowledge of gas processes and motor compressors. Valid driver’s license, advanced electrical troubleshooting, and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge in gas processes, mechanic of motor compressors (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.)
• Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting skills
• Mentorship training and beginning leadership skills/training
• Possess advanced and complete knowledge of compressor packages, including all components and systems
• Beginning knowledge and understanding of Area Financials
• Working knowledge of business as a whole—all processes and workflows

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot all complex repairs and major equipment overhauls and operation
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical issues
• Provide guidance and leadership to the whole area’s lower levels of Field Service Technicians; support scheduling and mentoring processes
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations
• May backfill Area Manager as necessary
• Additional tasks as assigned
