Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services, Inc. is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to oversee compressor packages, gas processes and rentals. You will mentor other technicians, diagnose complex repairs, and support area managers with planning and budgets.

Ideal candidates have deep gas process knowledge, strong electrical troubleshooting, and a proven leadership mindset. Expect field travel, on-call rotations, and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• OEM/trade school and/or 5+ years related field experience preferred.
• Successful completion of Kodiak SSE program; 3+ years in intermediate Field Tech role.
• Deep knowledge of gas processes and compressor mechanics (Waukesha, Ariel, Cat).
• 5+ years in compression processes, production, and equipment experience.
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge of compressor packages and system components.
• Understanding of area financials; cross-functional business processes.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates job activities following Kodiak procedures.
• Mentor and lead field technicians; provide guidance to area staff.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain customer relationships and coordinate with Area Manager on staffing and planning.
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations.
