Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to be the primary technical contact for customers at their locations, supporting filling lines, labeling and automation applications. The role blends hands-on service with office work and requires travel to multiple sites to ensure performance and quality.

You will lead maintenance, install equipment, troubleshoot issues, train customer staff, and collect data to support continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering preferred.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• Travel required: 75%.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems required.
• Prior experience with filling lines equipment preferred.
• Experience in plastics industry desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Represent Amcor at customer sites, maintaining both customer-owned and Amcor-owned equipment and conducting preventive maintenance.
• Lead in the assembly and preventive maintenance of Amcor-owned filling equipment.
• Lead in investigation and condition assessment of customer-owned equipment with repair/replacement recommendations.
• Assist with customer problems and communicate opportunities to plant/corporate levels.
• Support field trials of Amcor packaging.
• Train customer staff on proper product use and testing methods.
• Document visits and report data to drive resolution.
