Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to serve as the technical liaison at customer locations, focusing on filling lines, labeling, and automation applications. You will collaborate with Sales, Plant Quality, and Product Development to support launches, improvements, and training.

The role blends hands-on technical work with office tasks, requiring frequent travel to customer sites and strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering preferred.
• 75% travel requirement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• General working knowledge of electrical systems required.
• Prior mechanical experience with filling lines preferred.
• Plastics industry experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Act as Amcor representative at customer sites, performing preventative maintenance and addressing issues across filling lines and labeling systems.
• Lead assembly and preventive maintenance of Amcor-owned equipment.
• Investigate customer-owned equipment and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Assist with field trials of Amcor packaging and training of customer personnel.
