Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to act as the primary technical contact at customer locations. You will service filling lines, labeling and automation applications, perform preventive maintenance, and train customer personnel on product use and testing methods.

The role requires 75% travel, strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, and experience with filling equipment; plastics industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of combined education or related work experience.
• 75% travel requirement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Experience with filling lines and equipment preferred.
• Experience in the plastics industry desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service customer-owned and Amcor-owned equipment.
• Lead assembly and preventive maintenance of filling equipment.
• Investigate equipment conditions and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Communicate opportunities to plant and corporate levels.
• Support field trials of Amcor packaging.
• Train customer's employees on product use and testing methods.
• Collect data and samples for investigation.
• Lead root cause investigations and validate package performance on site.
• Coordinate quotes and scheduling with outside vendors.
• Complete trip reports documenting visits and resolutions.
